About Buro Eight

Engineering powered by data

For more than 15 years, Buro Eight has delivered major infrastructure and building projects, pairing a depth of experience few firms can claim with a data-driven, model-based approach most have only recently adopted. With more than 60 million square metres delivered across the GCC, Europe and North America, Buro Eight has turned long experience into something rarer: reliability, proven at scale.

The role

As a Planning Manager, you will plan and track the delivery of all our projects. You will own schedules, workplans and progress reporting, lead the people who support you, and be the main contact for non-technical project matters.

What you will do

  • Create submission plans and project workplans, and keep work flowing smoothly.
  • Report planned progress and target revenue daily, weekly, monthly and yearly.
  • Compare achieved progress and revenue with the plan each week and month.
  • Create and update the yearly target plan and the manpower plan.
  • Assign and monitor tasks for your production and project team.
  • Manage information exchange within and across projects.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, contracts and other documents at project and company level.
  • Monitor project performance on time, quality and cost, and issue internal progress reports.
  • Lead the estimation team to give the best price against current and expected benchmarks.

What you will bring

  • BSc in Mechanical, Architectural, Civil or Electrical Engineering.
  • 8 to 12 years of experience.
  • MS Office, MS Project, and the engineering and BIM tools each project needs.
  • Strong knowledge of planning and control, project management and technical writing.
  • Leadership, negotiation and analytical skills, with clear communication.

Good to have

  • A project management certificate.
  • An MSc degree.

Location and work
